Artist Reception: Upon My Recent Validation
05:00 pm to 07:00 pm
Hotel Indigo
http://www.cmadart.org
CMAD (Columbus Museum of Art & Design) invites the public to a closing reception of “Upon My Recent Validation…” an exhibition of paintings by Chad Serhal at Hotel Indigo.
This reception will feature a gallery talk by the artist at 6 PM. Chad Serhal provokes thought using nostalgia; a mother’s kitchen wallpaper design, a father’s favorite actor, or a line from a grandparent’s favorite book. He makes statements using play on words, juxtaposition, and defining titles to force a mundane scene into your consciousness. His work is all within a few inches big because the materials he uses are small.
“Upon My Recent Validation…” will be on display at Hotel Indigo from April 27 through June 30.
