Memorial Day Weekend, Saturday, May 25

9:00 am – 5:00 pm: LeGrand paints in various locations in downtown Spencer
6:00 – 8:00 pm: Paintings on Display at Juniper Art Gallery
7:00 pm: Artist Talk/Q&A

This all day plein air painting event will happen in locations throughout downtown Spencer. Award winning Bloomfield, Indiana artist Wyatt LeGrand will set up his easel where ever inspiration finds him throughout the course of the day. Passers-by in and around the courthouse square can watch as several paintings unfold.

From 6-8 pm, the day’s paintings will be on display at Juniper Art Gallery in the Community Room. At 7 pm, LeGrand will give a short talk with time for Q&A’s.
Light refreshments will be served.

About Wyatt LeGrand: In addition to teaching and working from his Bloomfield studio, LeGrand regularly travels to paint on location, including annual plein air excursions to the western states. LeGrand’s work has been regularly exhibited across the country and recognized by the Oil Painters of America and American Impressionist Society. In 2016, LeGrand was acknowledged by Southwest Art Magazine in their annual “21 Under 31” feature.

Brief Artist’s Statement: “…whether it be the colors of a landscape, the shapes of an interior space, or the movement of a busy street, my painting reflects the need to preserve desirable aesthetic experiences and communicate my human response to the subject before me. I say let things be spontaneous… paint what interests you, paint what confuses you, paint anything you wish as long as you paint more quickly than slowly, as the moment won’t last forever.”

The Stage Flight Circus Arts studio will present aerial performances, feats of strength, and beautiful choreography in this performance filled with enough action, music, and lights to lasso your heart. This show is appropriate for young buckaroos but adults will love it too.

The stage is built out into the orchestra pit for this performance and patrons seated in the lower balcony and the first few rows of the upper balcony may not be able to see the entire stage. If you prefer to sit in the balcony, we recommend sitting up high for an amazing view of the action!

You watched the Scooby gang spring into action last year, and now they’re back with a freshly resurrected Buffy… and it’s almost like she’s not the same person anymore!

While nothing here is real, everything here is oh so right! This will be an audience interactive show, full of surprises & hi jinx. Sing along to your favorite “Once More With Feeling” tunes, but be careful, we don’t want our costumers to start combusting!

This show will be packed full of dancing, lip syncing, singing, and of course, stripping! Plus: Games, Trivia, RARE & Collectable Buffy Memorabilia, Prizes, and of course, a costume contest.
