– TONIGHT! Pablo Adams, Bill Price, Marc Haggerty, Angela White – Bloomington Songwriter Showcase
8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The Players Pub - 424 S. Walnut St., Bloomington, IN 47401
http://facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters
Pablo Adams – reverbnation.com/pablomusic4u – is the ‘P’ in CRP – with Chris Wolf (the ‘C’) and Ralph Ed Jeffers (the ‘R’). Pablo’s music is meaningful. He writes about being a Veteran, surviving wars, life, and about relationships. Nearly everyone can relate to Pablo’s lyrics, and his melodies are very strong. Bill Price is a word man – his lyrics are exceptional as are his songs. He is visiting us from the Indianapolis area, but he spends a bit to time traveling out west as a man interested in the environment and nature in general. Price takes songwriting seriously and it shows. Marc Haggerty – MarcHaggerty.com – was one of the originators of the Bloomington Songwriter Showcase. Haggerty has a LOT to write about. He, too, is a veteran of war and of surviving the obstacles life has thrown at him since he was just a young boy. Marc has had some pretty good times, too, and was a person who actually ran away to work in the circus – traveling with some of the most well-known productions around – as a catcher for his trapeze act. His son was also part of Haggerty’s act for a while. Now known more for his political advocacy and songs that reflect his views, Marc Haggerty is a strong Singer-Songwriter with a soft-spoken way about him and his music . . . but don’t be deceived – this writer packs a punch! Angela White – facebook.com/people/Angela-Norris-White – showed up to perform at an Open Share-a-Chair evening a few months back and was an instant hit with our audience. Her music is decidedly Country in nature with clean, easy-to-understand melodies . . . but listen to those lyrics! This little gal has some pretty deep stories and observations that she’s paired with her music. White’s vocals are clean and clear, reminiscent of Emmylou Harris in style, as is her Country-girl good looks. Bill Price – reverbnation.com/billprice – is visiting us from the Indianapolis area – although he probably just got back from one of his nature excursions out west. Price is a word guy – his lyrics are meaningful and often deal with environmental concerns and nature. Bill Price is a serious kinda guy, and he takes his songwriting seriously – and all of his songs are good.
We think you’ll enjoy this program!
NO COVER CHARGE and ALL AGES are welcomed!
