The Grunwald Gallery at Indiana University is pleased to announce the upcoming BFA Thesis Exhibition. This exhibition will open Wednesday, November 30 th and continue through Saturday, December 10 th. The Studio Art Department will hold it’s annual Awards Ceremony at 5:30 pm in FA015 on December 9th with an opening reception following from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Grunwald Gallery.

BFA Thesis Exhibitions
These exhibitions feature work created by graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts students in the Studio Art Department, in the School of Art & Design at Indiana University. Each exhibition features student work from a variety of the studio areas: digital art, graphic design, metalsmithing and jewelry design, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. To gain professional experience, exhibiting students participate in the planning of their shows and installation of their pieces.

Students exhibiting include: Tyler Bartle (Photography), Jenica Brown (Painting), Mitch Carpenter (Printmaking), Lisa Havlat (Graphic Design), Maggie Kroh (Painting), Mitch Myers (Sculpture), Won Hee Park (Painting), Mimi Pinnow (Painting), Sarah Power (Painting), Kordula Schild (Painting), and Yue Yan (Painting).

The CAAG hosts the annual World AIDS Day Ceremony of Celebration and Remembrance on Wednesday, November 30th. Hors d’oeuvres reception and art silent auction at 5:30, program at 6:00. Ceremony includes; candlelight remembrance, presentation of the Celia Busch Making a Difference Award, and performances by Quarryland Men’s Chorus, and other local talent. Event is FREE and all are welcome.

Adelheid M. Gealt will lead a discussion with William Barcham, Giambattista Tiepolo expert and professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York; Old Master drawings dealer Mark Brady; and collector Anthony J. Moravec. This event is in relation to the museum’s current special exhibition Giambattista and Domenico Tiepolo: Master Drawings from the Anthony J. Moravec Collection. A reception will follow directly after the panel discussion.
