October is a month of chemistry, the study of the properties and interactions of matter, at WonderLab! Join WonderLab educators as we explore the conductivity of different substances and learn about the kinetic theory of heat. This experiment can be replicated at home with household materials and young scientists can change the experiment variables. This hands on experiment supports Indiana Physical Science Standards for grades 2,5, and 6 and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) for grades 2-5. STEM skills include practicing the scientific method and deductive reasoning. All welcome. Activities designed for Grades 1-6.
