The IU College of Arts and Sciences invites you to come explore science on IU Bloomington’s beautiful campus. You’ll have the chance to participate in 100+ hands-on activities, demonstrations, and talks, representing 17 departments and disciplines from physics to paleontology. You and your family will learn directly from the scientists and students who are studying these fields. Science Fest is free and open to the public; this year, we expect to welcome about 1,800 guests from all over the state as they make eye-opening discoveries. Please join us.

Jill Behrman was an IU student and an employee of Recreational Sports. In May of 2000, Jill left for a solo bike ride and never came back. Three years later it was discovered that she had been murdered. In October 2000, the JB5K was created to keep the memory of Jill alive and to bring awareness to issues of violence in our community.
In addition to the Color the Campus Walk/Run, workshops related to assault prevention and will be offered throughout the year. Proceeds benefit the Jill Behrman Emerging Leader Scholarship, personal safety workshops, and Campus Recreational Sports programs for IUB students.

Open Studios is a unique, free event where 31 artists open their doors to the public for the weekend. We invite you to come to our studios spaces, meet our artists personally and see their work, examine the materials and tools they use, and watch demonstrations of how they transform raw materials into finished art pieces. This is a great opportunity to ask questions about what inspires artists, to find out how your favorite artworks were made, and purchase unique local art.

Amplify Peace: Saving Syrian Lives is a multi-genre tour featuring Arab-American artists Omar Offendum, Bassel & the Supernaturals, Kayem, and Ronnie Malley & Turath Ensemble. The tour, sponsored by the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), aims to increase awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Syria and help gather resources to save the lives of Syrians affected by war.
