The next Monroe County United Way financial literacy class will be held on October 21st from 6:00-7:00 p.m. You will receive the Zoom link after filling out the RSVP form found on the organization’s website. This month’s class will be led by Lisa Piercefield and will go over how to plan for big purchases and use credit wisely. You are welcome to come with questions about other topics as well!

Join us for a lecture by guest architect Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works in the auditorium at The Republic Building. This event is free and open to the public.
Architect, educator, and principal of Allied Works, Brad Cloepfil has realized diverse projects across the U.S. and internationally. Over the past two decades Cloepfil has received widespread acclaim for his work on creative workplaces, academic and cultural institutions, and for crafting powerful spaces for art and interaction.
A native of Oregon, Cloepfil’s body of work is as informed by the landscape and history of place as it is by his formal training. His architecture pairs an intensive focus on the specific character of each project with an understanding of the transformative possibilities of space, light, form and material.
Brad holds degrees from the University of Oregon and Columbia University, is the recipient of numerous design awards, and has lectured and taught widely throughout Europe, Asia and North America.

Join the Sycamore Land Trust community on October 21st at 7:00pm for an engaging virtual celebration of land stewardship and habitat restoration in Southern Indiana! We are excited to provide a closer look into our land stewardship and restoration projects to take care of the land you have entrusted us. Events include hearing from staff about amazing stewardship and habitat restoration projects undertaken this year, a virtual tour of Sycamore Hoot Woods preserve, a “Dam Cam” Wildlife Camera compilation video to meet the wildlife community on our preserves, and a 2021 Kids’ Nature Discovery Art contest.
