Alfredo Minetti, musician, scholar, director of “This is Tango Now,” has been offering courses in International Studies on the arts and cross-cultural communication. He is a superb pianist in the classical tradition, but also in the music of Argentine tango and the less-well known form of Chamamé. His evening-long theatre pieces have toured the US, Europe, and China, and he’s working on a book that examines the questions of artistry, interpretation, and partnering. Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
By Christopher Durang

Directed by Jonathan Michaelsen

The tranquility of siblings Vanya and Sonia’s uneventful home life is comically disrupted by the return of their movie star sister Masha, who owns the house. She brings with her unwelcome drama, a preening (and usually shirtless) young lover named Spike, and the devastating news of her plans to sell the house. Now all they need to reconcile is Snow White, a voodoo doll, and a play about the destruction of the earth.

Performance dates include October 21, 22, 25 – 28, 2016 at 7:30 pm and October 29 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Thank you Associate Producers and Theatre Circle Members Anne and Jim Bright for supporting this production.
