Joann combines two styles of painting – her love of painting birds and her fascination of creating imaginary landscapes. She says….”Nature has always been my source of inspiration, whether it is with the colors in abstracts or watercolor paintings of local birds and vegetation. In my watercolors I explore the fluidity of watercolor and strive to capture the energy of nature’s ever changing imagery. I also use acrylic paint as a medium for my abstracts and refer to color combinations in nature.”
