Paddling Film Festival 2019 World Tour, Bloomington

07:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Buskirk-Chumley Theater
https://www.facebook.com/events/455442255287834/

Play360 presents the 14th annual Paddling Film Festival at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater in Bloomington on September 8, 2019 at 7:30pm.

The Paddling Film Festival is an international adventure film tour presenting the world’s best paddling films of the year – white-water, sea kayaking, canoeing, SUP, action and lifestyle – in more than 120 cities and towns across Canada, United States and around the world.

With 26 inspiring paddling films shortlisted for the World Tour, including the 10 festival category winners, audiences will see hairy white-water action, sea kayakers exploring remote coastlines, northern river canoe expeditions, international river travel films, motivating environmental documentaries and grueling kayak fishing battles.

Attracting paddlers and outdoor enthusiasts, audiences can expect a fun, social and entertaining event inspired by compelling films like:
Feel of Vision: After losing his eyesight in a 1997, Lonnie Bedwell described his blindness as a wall that prevented him from living a full life, until he discovered kayaking—the door that opened back up the world for him. Later, he became the first blind kayaker to navigate the Grand Canyon in a solo kayak. Today, Lonnie spends his time engaging fellow blind paddlers in the spray and white foam of the Ohioplye and Yellowstone wilderness—leading them to that doorway, so that they too can create their own vision of the life ahead.

Director: Tucker Gragg, Austin Gardner, and Producer: Blueline Media, Kevin Weaver, of Bloomington, Indiana.

The Paddling Film Festival World Tour is produced by Rapid Media and presented in Bloomington by Play360, Inc. on September 8th at 7:30pm.
