Students and amateurs are encouraged to participate. The mission: to bring the arts to the people in a noncommercial environment. For the artists there is no entry fee, no jurying, and no preselection. Just show up!

Enjoy a pancake breakfast for a good cause–BOOKS. Team First Book of Monroe County is a local fundraising branch of national First Book. We give grants to local schools and organizations working with low-income children to buy new, high quality books for children to own. Information and entertainment will enliven this event. Family friendly!!! Please bring the kids!

Join Indiana state forester Ben McKinney on a hike through Tangeman Woods to identify trees by leaf and bark. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from an expert.

Garfield, a chubby and sarcastic tabby cat fantasizes about having the most amazing birthday in the history of birthdays. He deserves it for being the best cat ever! But, it seems that all his friends – Arlene, Odie, Jon, and even his nemesis, Nermal, seem to have forgotten. Me-owch!! Feeling rejected, Garfield ventures out to find adventure, but quickly learns that “home is where the heart…and the food is.”

HAPPENING IN SEPTEMBER!

Multiple food vendors! Plus Oliver picnic packs, fresh-baked bread, and a selection of house-made cracker spreads will be available. We also invite you to bring along your own picnic.
No outside alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Bring chairs, blankets, and sun umbrellas.

Each 4-person team is assigned a giant stomp tub. You’ll stomp ripe red grapes, relay-style. Each team member gets a limited amount of time to crush. Juice runs from the tub, through a tube, and into the official measuring cup. There will be 2 qualifying rounds. At the end of each round, juice accumulated will be measured. The team with the most juice wins the round and advances! The final 2 teams compete at 6 pm, Sept. 23rd in the Oliver Winery Grape Stomp World Championship. Champions win a grand prize hot air balloon evening flight with Bill Oliver!

Entry is $25 per team.
All teammates must be 21+.
After signing in, we’ll contact you with your qualifying round time.
Costumes encouraged! There will be a prize for best team spirit!

Moonlight and Magnolias is a clever comedy play about the writers of the movie “Gone With the Wind”. The producer has had enough of delays – he locks his top team away until they finish the script, with hilarious results. The play is based on a legendary Hollywood incident that also light-heartedly explores the struggle between artists’ morals and the film industry’s prejudices. Includes some old-fashioned swearing.
