The Other Feminists at the Monroe County History Center

05:30 pm to 07:00 pm
Monroe County History Center, 202 E 6th Street
http://www.monroehistory.org

Janine Giordano Drake presents her research on the Hoosier suffragists that supported concerns on labor, temperance, and the rights of women to lead churches. Illuminating the resiliency of the suffrage movement and its tensions along the lines of class and race, Drake shares the stories of working-class women in honor of the Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial.

Bring your own lawn chair and a mask! We’ll be gathering on the front lawn of the History Center to enjoy a socially distanced presentation.
