Join us for free fitness, free food, and free fun! Energize After School is a partnership between WonderLab and the YMCA. Each 45 minute class will focus on a different aspect of healthy living and feature hands-on active learning, a healthy snack, and WonderLab approved science experiments. Activities include building an articulated hand, extracting DNA from fruit, exploring grains under a microscope, and testing your own heart health. The classes build on each other week to week, but can also stand alone. Children can attend every week or just try out one or two classes. Recommended for children ages 6 to 12.

On Tuesday evening, beginning at 5:30 p.m., The Venue is pleased to host this presentation provided by Mark Besen, PH.D, psychologist and master trainer with the QPR Institute for Suicide Prevention. Paired with dramatic visuals from the award-winning movie “Titanic,” Michelle Martin Colman, area facilitator for Loving Outreach to Suicide Survivors, introduces Besen’s unique coaching to equip attendees, through the use of living color visuals, to intervene and interrupt a suicide attempt and save a life. Today, when suicide has become a virtual epidemic of tragedy, this knowledge is essential. Join us.

Cari Ray is a featured songwriter this evening, and she’s sharing the stage with two of her favorites: John Gilmore and Chris Wolf. Cari is a resident of Nashville, IN, and has an Americana, country style. Chris Wolf has always been an audience favorite, with his funny lyrics, champion quality finger-picking guitar work and neat riffs to match. John Gilmore is a wonderful songwriter from the Noblesville, IN area.
