Art-Side Chat: Art, Politics, and the Media

06:00 pm to 06:45 pm
IU Eskenazi Museum of Art
http://artmuseum.indiana.edu

Special guests Matthew Hayes (Associate Professor, Department of Political Science), Joe Lee (illustrator and political cartoonist), and moderator Jeremy Gray (Associate Athletic Director, former Congressional aide, and White House intern) will lead visitors through a lively discussion on the intersections of art, media, and politics. Three twentieth-century works created during presidential election years will provide the starting point for thinking about the impact of visual media on elections and as tools of persuasion.
