Artist Reception & Wet Paint Sale for the Guild Members Plein Air Gathering

06:00 pm to 08:00 pm
Brown County Art Guild- 48 S. Van Buren Street Nashville, IN 47448
http://www.browncountyartguild.org/

The featured exhibit for the month of September is titled ‘Painterly Companions’ and is presented with support from Kathy & Gary Anderson. ‘Painterly Companions’ is an exhibit celebrating the camaraderie and relationships that are built between artists and their subjects through the creation of art and will feature work by Guild Member Artists as well as early art colony artists such as T.C. Steele, Marie Goth & Adolph Shulz.

Visitors can also see one of T.C. Steele’s original and authentic brushes and what is believed to be the artist’s last working palette.
Here one can closely observe the range of colors with which the artist worked, and how he blended his hues. This fascinating personal artifact allows the art connoisseur and patron to connect with T.C. Steele in an entirely unique way.

An Artist Reception & Wet Paint Sale for the Guild Members Plein Air Gathering will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 at the Guild. New paintings will be on display and available for purchase. Visitors can enjoy light refreshments and beer from Big Woods Brewery with music by Amanda Webb.

Located at 48 South Van Buren Street in the heart of downtown Nashville, the Brown County Art Guild is open Monday-Saturday 11:00-5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00-4:00 p.m.

Cost: Free
