Allan Yates | Buddhism in Mongolia
Please join us for a one night Pop Up exhibit featuring the work of Allan Yates. His series, Buddhism in Mongolia is a on-going documentary project he began in 2013 to examine the role of Buddhism in contemporary Mongolian culture. The exhibit will be on view in the Brick Gallery at the FAR Center for Contemporary Arts, on Friday May 3rd, from 5 – 8 pm. To celebrate this artwork, monks from the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center will be attending and we will be serving Tibetan momo dumplings and milk tea.

Oliver Klink | Cultures in Transition
Pictura Gallery is exhibiting Cultures in Transition, a series of documentary stories photographed with awareness and artistry by Oliver Klink. The show focuses on three different communities who balance the growing tension between the cultural diversity of the past and the homogenized present, looking into the lives of those who wish to preserve tradition.Photographs span the remote regions in the Sichuan Mountains, to the eagle hunters in the Altai Mountains in Mongolia.
