“Cabaret” is set in 1931 Berlin, when the Nazis were rising to power. At the Kit Kat Klub, a seedy night spot reflecting the political themes of Weimar Germany, the story revolves around young American writer, Cliff Bradshaw, and his relationship with 32-year-old English cabaret performer Sally Bowles.
