Chris Wolf, dwBrykalski, Richard Gist, Open ‘Share-a-Chair’ night – B-Town Songwriter Showcase

08:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Bears Place - 1316 East 3rd St., Bloomington IN 47401
http://www.facebook.com/BloomingtonSongwriters

From Brown County Indiana – Dick Gist – www.theindianaboys.com s a busy guy – booking music for the Pine Room Tavern, member of the popular ‘Indiana Boys’ – Bluegrass inspired band with Joe Bolinger & Kenan Rainwater, and is a Singer-Songwriter as a solo performer as well. Gist’s music is Alternative – Americana and he gets around pretty well on guitar, bass guitar and mandolin. Dick will be joined by Chris Wolf – http://chriswolfsongs.com one of our favorite entertainers and award-winning Singer-Songwriter – often adding humor to his songs and performance. As a member of C.P.R. (with Pablo Adams and Ralph Ed Jeffers) Chris is an in demand kinda guy. He also runs a Songwriter Showcase at Zydeco’s Cajun (French inspired) restaurant in Mooresville IN. With his gravelly voice, and fine finger-picking style – this Singer-Songwriter can’t help but steal every show he’s a part of. Dick & Chris will be joined by dwBrykalski – (aka David Weirhake) – www.facebook.com/dw.Brykalski this evening. ‘dw’(small case by request) has performed back up for just about everyone we can think of in our area – including Tim Grimm & Jason Wilbur to name a few. He is a fine accordion player, but usually shows up with is trusty old guitar and sings his very thoughtfully written songs wearing his Dad’s old cowboy hat. Slow spoken, pay attention to what he says – often interjecting political / environmental comment and ‘life in general’ observation. This is also our monthly Open Guest ‘Share-a-Chair’ evening! We keep one of the four Feature Writer spots and rotate new writers throughout the evening. Lots of fun! If interested in performing a song – email us at [email protected] and if we have an open spot – we’ll add ya to the ‘Share-a-Chair’ Songwriter list!
