Church and State

07:30 pm to 05:00 pm on May 20
Ivy Tech Waldron Rose Firebay

JTB is pleased to present Church and State by Jason Odell Williams, directed by Liam Castellan, at the Ivy Tech Rose Firebay from May 10–20. Performances are May 10, 12, 17, and 19 at 7:30 p.m., and May 20 at 3 p.m.

Three days before his bid for re-election in North Carolina, a Republican senator, played by Stephen Hunt, makes an off-the-cuff remark to a blogger that calls into question his belief in God. As his devoutly Christian wife, played by Abby Lee, and his liberal Jewish campaign manager, played by Tess Cunningham, try to contain the damage, this look at how religion, guns, and social media influence our political system is simultaneously funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting. Joined by Jonathan Golomblecki, this cast of four is ready to attack this relevant and highly contemporary play, bringing it to Bloomington audiences.

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online through the BCT box office or at the door with cash or check (on a first come first served basis). For more information, please visit us online at jewishtheatrebloomington.com

Cost: $25, $2 discount for groups of 5 or more
