At the annual Community Volunteer Fair, you will have the opportunity to meet the people working and volunteering at our local nonprofit organizations, to learn the ins and outs of what they do and to see how you can contribute! Over 50 nonprofits will be at the Fair, held on the plaza at the Farmers’ Market at 8th and Morton Streets. Each will offer ways that you can make a difference. They include social service, arts, social justice, and animal welfare organizations. They include opportunities to volunteer with kids, senior citizens, people with disabilities, people who are incarcerated, and recent immigrant. They work on issues such as domestic violence, environmental sustainability, food security, disaster preparedness and literacy.
