Creative Writing Class at Tibetan Mongolin Buddhist Cultural Center

Writers of fiction, memoirs or creative non-fiction will learn innovative techniques to bring one’s story to life. Characterization, dialogue and sense of place will be discussed, and students may bring ten pages to the class for review. The class will also learn how to edit and revise their own work for publication. No experience is necessary to attend. The instructor, Karen Ackerson, is Senior Editor at The Writers’ Workshop in Asheville, NC. She teaches workshops throughout the country, and has revised hundreds of fiction and non-fiction books.
