On Friday, November 2nd, beginning at 5:00 p.m., for Gallery Walk, The Venue will host and exhibition of Paintings and Drawings by Mega Amani Hanson.
Amani looks like an All-American girl but she claims East Africa as home. Amani, which means peace in Swahili, has spent the majority of her life in Tanzania and Kenya, before coming to Bloomington, to attend Indiana University.
The amazing animals that dot the landscape of her home are the inspiration for much of Amani’s art. Her style ranges from abstract to realism, with elements of impressionism. Her unique talent is her ability to capture not only the form, but the spirit and energy of her animal subjects. Her display includes affordable originals and prints.
As is customary at The Venue for Gallery Walks, we will be serving gourmet soup and other taste treats, and our complete selection of fine art and original holiday gifts will be on display and available for purchase.
Amani’s art will be The Venue’s feature show for the month of November.
