From the Collection – Medical History

10:00 am to 04:00 pm on May 29
Monroe County History Center, 202 E 6th Street
http://www.monroehistory.org

In the Monroe County History Center’s permanent collection, you can find all sorts of medicines, bottles, and instruments. The world of medicine has changed dramatically over the years as well as the treatments. Generations of Monroe County families went to the same doctors for all life’s stages. Some doctors traveled on horseback while others operated from their houses. On display will be many of the interesting and strange stories from Monroe County’s medical history.

Cost: $2 adults, $1 students, free for members and ages under 5
