Hiking Stick Workshop

Paynetown SRA is offering a hiking stick workshop on Thursday, July 31 at 10 a.m. Participants will create a hiking stick with a comfortable grip and decorate it with painted and wood-burned designs. All supplies are provided.

The workshop is limited to 10 participants. Pre-registration is required by July 29 at 5 p.m. to the Paynetown Activity Center at 812-837-9967. The cost is $10 per participant; payment is required when you register (credit/debit cards accepted).

The workshop is recommended for ages 12 and up. However, children ages 8 to 11 can participate with a dedicated adult helper (there is no charge for an adult who is attending solely to assist a child).

Paynetown SRA on Monroe Lake (stateparks.IN.gov/2954.htm) is at 4850 South State Road 446, Bloomington, 47401. There is a Property Entrance Fee of $5 per vehicle for Indiana residents or $7 per vehicle for out-of-state residents.
