On Wednesday, April 6, David J. Colman underwent hip replacement surgery at Indiana University Hospital North, Carmel, IN, performed by Dr. John Hur. On April 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m., The Venue will host a presentation by Colman describing how he became aware that he needed surgery, through the steps of verifying the need, getting interim pain relief treatment, selecting a procedure and a surgeon, having the operation, and his rehabilitation thus far. It had to be rescheduled because driving is not the only thing one should avoid while taking pain meds.
Hip replacement is the most prevalent orthopedic surgical procedure in America today. Hopefully, more than just an exhibitionist indulgence, Colman’s presentation will provide the viewer with valuable information with which to confront their own health issues and treatment alternatives, from someone who isn’t selling anything. At a minimum, it will provide an opportunity for all of his well wishers to come in and see for themselves if his extravagant claims are true.
Refreshments will be served.
Cost: Free
