Indiana Bicentennial Barn Quilt at the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead

01:00 pm to 04:00 pm
Hinkle-Garton Farmstead
http://www.bloomingtonrestorations.org

Bloomington Restorations, Inc., in partnership with the Indiana Barn Foundation, invites you to the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead to see the Indiana Bicentennial Barn Quilt. The quilt is an Indiana Bicentennial Legacy Project depicting a barn from each of Indiana’s 92 counties. The dairy barn at the farmstead represents Monroe County in a quilt square designed and completed by Linda Long of Greene County. Visitors will also be entertained with music provided by members of Friday Musicale, and can peruse the museum store offerings including jams, jellies and preserves made by volunteers with sales to benefit the site. The early spring may also permit availability of some native plants for sale in advance of the Daisy Days Plant Sale in late April. The Farmstead is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned and maintained by Bloomington Restorations, Inc.

Cost: Free
