Jazz in July kicks off with music from the Big Band era performed by the Stardusters little BIG Band. You’ll be energized by the music of renown swing bands like Benny Goodman, Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, and the Dorseys. Join us for dancing, toe-tapping, head-nodding, and an Independence Day tribute!
All concerts are free and open to the public, but seating is limited, so everyone is encouraged to come early. Concerts are held outside on the Sculpture Terrace and, in the event of rain, will be moved inside the IU Art Museum. Refreshments and food will be available for purchase. Donations are appreciated.
Cool off in the Special Exhibitions Gallery on the first floor of the museum from 5:30–8:30 p.m. each Jazz in July evening.
Jazz in July is made possible through a partnership with Bloomington Brewing Company and is sponsored in part by Argentum Jewelry, Donald Griffin, Jr. with Griffin Realty, ISU The May Agency, Meadowood Retirement Community, Restaurant Tallent, Smithville Communications, and Bunger & Robertson Attorneys at Law.
