A mainstay on the Bloomington jazz scene for over 60 years, the Al Cobine Big Band is led by pianist Mike Lucas and features musicians from Bloomington, Indianapolis, and around the region performing arrangements and original compositions by Al Cobine.
WFIU Public Radio and the Department of Jazz Studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music are co-hosting Jazz in July.
All concerts are free and begin at 7 p.m. The concerts on July 6, 13, and 27 take place at the Conrad Prebys Amphitheater (behind Bryan House). The July 20th concert takes place in the green space of the School of Global and International Studies. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy a summer evening of jazz!
