Led by Srinivas Krishnan—Master percussionist and director of the Global Rhythms project at the Center for American and World Cultures (Miami University of Ohio)—the Global Rhythms world music extravaganza wraps up this year’s Lotus. “The musical creations of Global Rhythms are rooted in a community of artists and composers from around the world,” says Krishnan. Global Rhythms is also inspired by the genres and traditions of other cultures, including Western jazz and classical music. Sponsored by Dr. David E. Lawler & The Center for Sound Sleep.
