Luncheon Talk: ‘Asian Americans + Sports = Equality?’

12:00 pm to 01:15 pm
Asian Cultural Center (807 E. Tenth St.)
http://tinyurl.com/7netb5y

Lunch is on us! At this informal roundtable lunch discussion, we will discuss aspects of equality in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. An avid sports fan, Dr. King wanted to achieve equality throughout all aspects of American culture, including sports. What do you think about the increased integration of Asians and other minorities in sports? How has the sports world changed since King’s time? This discussion is inspired by the following article: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/phil_taylor/01/17/mlk/index.html
