Muslims in the United States Military

05:30 pm to 06:30 pm
Indiana Memorial Union, Oak Room

Since the Revolutionary War, Muslim Americans have served in the United States military, risking their lives to defend a country that increasingly looks at them with suspicion and fear. Edward E. Curtis IV will profile true stories of the courage and sacrifice of Muslim American service members, telling the long history of Muslim service from the War of 1812 to recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Curtis is the author of the new book Muslim Americans in the Military: Centuries of Service.
