It is Maple Syrup Season at the Farmstead

Bloomington Restorations, Inc. invites you to the monthly opening of the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead on Saturday, January 31, 2015, from 1-4 p.m. Come watch the tapping of the historic Sugar Maple trees and learn a bit about the sugaring process. Inside the 1892 main farmhouse, enjoy refreshments made with maple syrup and other seasonal produce while Dr. Vicki King plays tunes from the 1920s and 30s on the Garton’s piano. And while there won’t be any syrup for purchase yet, there will be a selection of jams and jellies produced at the site. The Farmstead is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned and maintained by Bloomington Restorations, Inc. It is free and open to the public and is located at 2920 E. Tenth Street in Bloomington. For more information call BRI at (812) 336-0909 or visit www.bloomingtonrestorations.org.
