Charlene Marsh, an oil painter, will demonstrate her plein air painting techniques at Paynetown State Recreation Area on Saturday, August 5.
The public is invited to stop by the swimming beach to watch her paint between 1 and 4 p.m. Marsh will be capturing the movement and energy of the swimmers in the natural environment.
To complement Marsh’s painting demo, the Monroe Lake naturalist staff is also offering two hands-on art programs for the public at Paynetown that same day.
Wax resist leaf painting will be available from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the Activity Center patio. And from 2 to 3:30 p.m., people can drop by the swimming beach to try painting with paintbrushes made from pine needles.
Questions about these programs should be directed to the Paynetown Activity Center at 812-837-9967, or you can email Vance at [email protected].
