BCT’s founding Executive Director Danielle McClelland is departing after 18 years and we’re pissed! Just kidding – kind of. We actually wish her well, thank her for her leadership, yadda yadda, but we’re not letting her go without a chance to poke some fun, have a party, launch the BCT into its next incarnation with a good laugh, and do some serious fundraising.
Comedian Mat Alano Martin will handle the roast, and spoken word artist Tony Brewer will toast the BCT with an original poem. Honoring Danielle’s penchant for suits and ties, dress code is “tie required” with extra applause for those wearing a “creative tie.” Arrive ready to tease, heckle, and generally cut up.
While we’re giggling, we’ll be supporting the crucial role the BCT plays in Bloomington’s civic and artistic life. Can’t imagine Bloomington without the BCT? Who can? Now’s your chance to thank Danielle for the “downtown gem” she helped to develop.
Don’t worry – you get goodies too! Drinks, dinner, music, and silent and live auction items are all part of the fun. Look for special opportunities like curated trips to Austin and Seattle at our sister historic theaters, and a private catered dinner for you and your friends on stage at the BCT.
The Woolery Mill will provide dinner (you’ll choose your meal type when you purchase your ticket), a dessert buffet, and a cash bar. Tables of eight can be reserved during the ticket purchasing process, and will have priority placement. Those seated at reserved tables will choose their meal type when they arrive on the 17th.
Sales end Monday, January 13th at 5pm so get your tickets now!
