The Indiana University Singing Hoosiers present their 68th Annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 14 at 2 and 7:30 p.m.
In October 2017, the Singing Hoosiers presented “An American Story,” a program which explored the tradition of American popular music within context of the journey taken by those who helped to shape it. Their spring program, “Back Home Again” serves as a musical sequel told through the lens of the sojourner who travels through space and time searching for meaning and purpose, only to discover that the journey leads to a rather unexpected place. The program features arrangements of music by George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Hoagy Carmichael, the Jackson 5, Elton John, Billy Joel, Imogen Heap, and many more, along with a student-produced medley celebrating the rich musical heritage of “our Indiana home.” The Singing Hoosiers will also be joined by renowned Grammy-award winning soprano, Sylvia McNair.
So join as the Singing Hoosiers take you around the world and back home again.
Cost: $5 Students, $18-25 Adults
