Paul Gauguin’s 1903 painting “The Invocation” is on loan from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. One of Gauguin’s final works, “The Invocation” was painted while the artist was living in the Marquesas Islands. Nearby in the gallery, three prints by Gauguin from the IU Art Museum’s permanent collection are installed to complement this visiting painting.
