The Tibetan Monks are Back, at The Venue

5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
The Venue Fine Art & Gifts
http://thevenuebloomington.com

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, The Venue Fine Art & Gifts, in partnership with the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center of Bloomington, will host Seven Monks from Labrang Tashikyil Monastery in Dehra Dun, India. This is The Monks third tour of the U.S. and their third appearance at The Venue. They are touring to teach Dharma, educate the public about the culture and religion of Tibet, and raise much-needed funds for their Monastery.
To display their culture and religion, they will appear at The Venue in traditional Tibetan clothing, sing and dance to traditional Tibetan music, and serve traditional Tibetan food. They will present traditional Tibetan art objects, handmade by Monks at their Monastery, to sell. Their narratives will be informative, interactive, and fun.
You can visit the following link for free parking options near The Venue: bloomington.in.gov/parksmart.
