Unity of Bloomington is sponsoring this fundraising event in partnership with the Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center. All proceeds will benefit the Tashi Kyil Monastery in Dehra Dun, India.
Participants will learn to prepare traditional Tibetan meat and Tsel (vegetarian) momos, Thugpa (noodle soup), and Daytse (sweet rice dessert). Additionally, the monks will include Indian dishes of their choosing based on the places of their birth and/or location of their monastery.
Following the cooking class, all will enjoy the food in a communal dinner of fellowship and fun. Participants are encouraged to bring take-home containers for leftovers or containers will be provided. Please plan for at least 4 hours and possibly longer.
Advance registration and payment is required, and space will be limited so early registration is highly encouraged.
To register online visit www.unityofbloomington.org under Events. Or pay by cash or check to Unity of Bloomington (4001 S. Rogers St., Bloomington, IN 47403) no later than 3 p.m. on Friday, September 21st. To learn more about the monks, visit www.tashikyiltour.org.
