Our March Science Explorations theme is the human brain. During this month we will explore our amazing brains. Our activities align with grade 4 Indiana and Next Generation Science Standards and will prepare elementary aged participants for the middle school science investigations of the human body as well as deepen their current science content knowledge and curiosity. Today we will learn about neurons and make a model of a neuron and learn all about these electrically excitable communication cells. Materials are not necessary, but if you want to construct your neuron during the program, bring some sort of clay or modeling dough and a penny.
